Cake and boredom: Wiebke, Rufus and Lisa don't expect much from their father Werner's 75th birthday. Because, of course, the real issues (money, Wiebke's prospects of finally succeeding Werner in the company, Rufus' non-existent career and Lisa's love life) are not to be discussed under any circumstances. But when Werner unexpectedly announces that he wants to be cryogenically frozen after his death, everyone suddenly becomes wide awake. After all, it's not just the inheritance that's at stake. Will Werner, as a resurrected boss, take over the management of the company again? He, who never had time for his family, wants to spend his future with strangers? And does it not matter that his wife Esther does not want to go along with his plan? The fact that a mariachi band, booked as a surprise, keeps playing at the most inappropriate moments does not make the discussion any easier – and yet leads to a decisive turning point.
