Tina Müller

Tina Müller, born and raised in Zurich in 1980, studied cultural studies at the University of Hildesheim from 2001 to 2004 and subsequently studied playwriting at the Berlin University of the Arts.

She is a member of the Zurich-based family theatre ensemble Fallalpha, with whom she develops plays for young audiences. Together with her Swiss collective magic garden, she created the questionnaire-based performance Questioning, which has since been staged internationally. In Berlin, she is an organiser and dramaturg for the community project Lauratibor, which, since 2019, has staged numerous street music theatre productions at the intersection of art, activism and protest, advocating for a city for everyone.

In 2007/2008, Tina Müller was a scholarship holder at the Autorenlabor at the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus, whose competition she won with her play Verlassen. For her plays Bikini (2005) and 8 Väter (2010), she was awarded prizes at the Dutch-German children’s and youth theatre festival Kaas & Kappes.

Bikini also received the 2nd Baden-Württemberg Youth Theatre Prize (2006) and the German Youth Theatre Prize (2008). In 2017, Dickhäuter was awarded the Mülheim Children’s Play Prize, for which Tina Müller was also nominated for Schokolade (2020) and Aufräumen (2025).
