And All So Still

(Und alle so still)

One Sunday in June, the world is thrown off balance. Women are lying on the street. Motionless. Hundreds of them. And every day, their numbers grow.

United in silent protest, they let the world feel what happens when they no longer fulfill expectations or function without complaint. But the reaction from those around them is swift and brutal. If necessary, force is used to order the women back to their places—back into the system of exploitation and overwork on which society relies.

During these days of silent revolt and backlash, the paths of three people cross:

Elin, in her early 20s, a successful influencer, is haunted by an event she cannot define as violence.

Nuri, 19, a school dropout, who juggles three jobs to keep his head above water.

Ruth, in her mid-50s, who tries to hold her own as a nurse in a hospital.

They all long for change. But can the circumstances be changed? At what price? And who has to pay it?

«(Fallwickl) questions nothing less than the system itself ... This material is devastating in its analysis of the present, but also encouraging in its agitating power. Male hubris and female solidarity stand in opposition to each other, but there is also a glimmer of hope for a society that is forging new ground in terms of community ... An evening that is at times merciless, but nevertheless inspires confidence.» (Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung)
