Ikarus and Francis meet while in hospital. Francis is fighting multiple sclerosis and Ikarus is a paraplegic. To begin with, the two get on each other’s nerves. And that turns out to be exactly why they become best friends. After they move into the same room, they become inseparable. And suddenly everything is possible. For Ikarus, that means chatting up girls. But when he meets Jasmin, he suddenly turns shy. He’s fallen in love, and at the same time finds himself unable to live up to his self-constructed alpha male image. Instead of embarking on some soul-searching, he breaks off his friendship with Francis. Can they manage to patch things up? Ikarus has to realize that it’s only partly in his hands.

Sergey Gößner’s play is about two lovable outsiders, cheats and storytellers - and about the power and vulnerability of friendship. With all the characters played by Icarus and Francis, making the act of telling the story becomes just as important as the narrative itself.
