Circus of Shadows

Lika never thought much about her shadow. Sure, sometimes it's bigger and sometimes smaller – but it's always with her and does the same things she does. Until one day it starts behaving strangely. Suddenly it seems to have a mind of its own, growing, shrinking and moving without Lika being able to do anything about it! Lika tries to ignore it or run away from it. But you can't hide from your shadow. Even in the dark, it keeps getting bigger. Finally, Lika has no choice but to follow it's lead. In the nocturnal circus of shadows, the two find each other, becoming a whole greater than the sum of its parts.

Following the international success of The Grand Hotel of Feelings, Circus of Shadows is Lidia Branković's second picture book. It gently and playfully encourages children to deal with difficult emotions and accept themselves as they are.
