A monologue on identity and homeland in a highly artificial prose verse and manic “we-form,” which revolves around the exclusion of the strange or different. The source of this weave of quotations is the idealist philosophy and German language poetry, which is considered the origin of German Nationalism. The Germans, as the collective subject, summon texts from Hölderlin, Hegel, Heidegger, Fichte, Kleist and excerpts from the RAF letters, amongst others, which they seize and appropriate for their own ends. Everything is fitted into a standard fascistic discourse, sometimes thwarting or even inverting the meaning of the original text. In doing so, firstly the language itself is exposed as theatrical, and secondly the intended deformation of the glorification of ideology, as well as the trivial-mythic reception of its pretexts, becomes apparent.
