Autofahren in Deutschland
2F / 4M
Hugo, a graphic designer, is driving through the night in his car, escaping from himself, an investigation into suspected tax evasion, or a murky conspiracy. At the same time, Marthe, his life-partner, and Lorenz, his financial advisor, meet at the other end of the country in a launderette. Suddenly, armed men appear in front of the window. A shot is fired, evidently by Cleo, who appears out of nowhere. She is Lorenz’s ex-wife, and the same woman who Hugo spends a nightmarish night with. As scattered parts of a whole, they then all begin their own odyssey along empty highways.
“Syha has written her play with a great sense of the undulating surface beneath which paranoia leads to black holes.” (Süddeutsche Zeitung)
