When did the lying start? What, exactly, can truth be, if our own perception and our recollections are notoriously unreliable? It starts out as the premise for a screenplay - an author searching for the origin of human consciousness takes up arms against an all-powerful Artificial Intelligence - but then morphs into a reflection on the relationship of lies and art. What room is left for artistic creativity, when everyone is always performing their lives? Why are our dreams so trivial? Is not the entire history of our civilisation a single act of conmanship? From the stone age to the very near future of a destroyed planet, Eisenach’s characters fight their way through the epistemological jungle of our existence - witty, funny and highly intelligent.
