Daniel Mursa

Daniel Mursa (born in 1979 in Hamburg) studied at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig. In 2002, he received Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg's Most Promising award in the course of its Werkstatttage workshop. In the same year, his debut play Nach Bayeux was presented in a drama reading at the Author's Festival at the Hamburg Thalia Theatre. His play Dreitagefieber was awarded the Kleist-Förderpreis for young dramatists in 2004. In October 2004, he was invited with the same play to "Forum Texts - Contemporary European Drama" at the National Theatre in Luxembourg. In autumn 2005, he was a scholarship holder at the Villa Decius in Krakow.
