Empty Hearts

It’s 2025, and Germany is ruled by the Movement of Concerned Citizens. The EU has collapsed, the UN is facing dissolution and the surveillance powers of the police, secret services and the government have been continually expanded. Western democracy has passed into history. Britta Söldner has successfully arranged herself with the new system. Her cynicism has inspired a new business idea: Her agency provides suicide bombers to its customers who include ISIS as well as Green Power, an environmental campaign group fighting for a better planet, one without humans. Her world becomes ever more threatened as a suicide bomber who didn’t come from her agency attacks Leipzig Airport and a new group, «Empty Hearts», emerges, who have stolen her idea.
