A gigantic beast terrorizes the swamplands of Dartmoor: a luminescent ghost hound, chasing the men of the Baskerville clan to their deaths. Of course, nobody believes in such nonsense – but why is Sir Charles Baskerville’s dead body lying in the moors, his face distorted with terror? And why is everyone, without exception, acting suspiciously in the extreme, when all one wants to do is solve this murder in a reasonable way? Poor Watson, Holmes’ faithful and frequently humiliated companion, is finding it hard, since Holmes exuberantly expressed his fullest confidence and has sent him all by himself into the backwoods, to get to the bottom of this case. But between the scary pair of servants, the jovial heir, and not to be overlooked, the extremely beautiful Beryl Stapleton, who is claiming to write a nature guide on the moors with her brother, Watson is completely out of his depth. And on top of it all, the Dartmoor Ripper, who escaped from prison after swearing bloody revenge on Sherlock Holmes, is stalking the area. As a last resort, Watson declares that the coachman is the killer, until Sherlock Holmes, brilliantly disguised, comes to his assistance and unravels the tangled web.
