The Street. The City. The Ambush.

Munich's Maximiliansstrasse is a celebration of the world of fashion and luxury. It is ruled by the tyranny of beautiful make-believe and glimmering facades whose pretend uniqueness is just a remnant of times long gone. The local originals that used to provide identity are gone and have been replaced by global labels, run by designers who are not themselves anymore: Dior is not Dior, Jil Sander not Jil Sander (who might soon be back to her old self), and was Max Mara ever a real person? It is the beginning of a process of decomposition that even attacks the individual. Maybe even the city where the street is located is just a chimera even though it shines, by its own accord, and has noticeable control over the lives of its inhabitants. Because at the very end of Maximillianstrasse is the state parliament and it invades sometimes the home, privacy or ambushes with its demands.
