Holed up in their spacious apartment, Richard and Regina enjoy the togetherness of their lonesome seclusion. But since humans are condemned to be social, suddenly the neighbors Dolf and Tina appear at the door, armed with bottles of wine and cutlet platters – the beginning of a highly comical, anti-Strindbergian dance of death. Pointedly and in accurate detail, Theresia Walser and Karl-Heinz Ott observe what happens, when a classic “let’s talk it out”-couple meets two impassioned non-communicators. Opposing ideas of life clash, to a comical as well as haunting effect, but always with great abrasive force - and their ardent promoters engage in a slugfest, which eventually turns quite violent. “Walser / Ott develop an almost Thomas Bernhard-like lust for the musicality of sarcastic word play and openly engage the classical theme of marriage hell.” (Süddeutsche Zeitung)
