To be politically correct, to be a good person - what could be easier? Just 20 Euros per month will give a child in the Brasilian slums a chance in life. But beware if the slum suddenly moves in on you. This is what happens to the Tremmel family, who, on the occasion of their daughter Louisa’s eighth birthday, had begun to sponsor little Louis in South America. He, just like Louisa, is now eighteen years old, knocks on the door and turns the life of the well-to-do family upside down.

Louis and Louisa, a play commissioned by the Junge Schauspielhaus Hamburg, draws a highly amusing and at the same time serious picture of what happens if our world comes closer together, thanks to globalisation and "19-Euro flights", and a Brasilian slum suddenly invades a bourgeois German household.
